'Treefall' Begins Previews January 21st, 2011 at NCTC
Rehearsals have begun for New Conservatory Theatre Center's production of "Treefall" by Henry Murray directed by Ben Randle. Previews begin January 21st, Opens January 29th and plays through February 27, 2011.
"Treefall" is described in press materials as a "drama set in a post-apocalyptic future" where "three teenagers form a makeshift family in a Pacific Northwest cabin after an environmental disaster. Treefall examines how our culture sees and instills gender, identity, and family."
The cast includes Evan Johnson, Josh Schell, Corinne Robkin, and Sal Mateo.
The production will feature Scenic Design by Kuo-Hao Lo, Costume Design by Miriam Lewis, Lighting Design by Christian Mejia, Sound Design by Josh Senick, and Prop Design by Sarah Chaney Campbell.
"Treefall" premiered in an award-winning production by Rogue Machine Theatre in Los Angeles, and is a finalist for the first Woodward/Newman Drama Award.
